fabric book fabric book1 fabric book2 fabric book3Taking a class at John C. Campell Folk School-Fabric pages with teacher, Martine House. We are learning how to make a fabric book or page for a book. I am making mine so it will be like a small little book with flaps and pockets, almost like an envelope. Today, Martine taught us how to prepare our fabrics for the ink jet printer and meanwhile we also learned how to make a template for our books. Mine will be in the shape of a house inspired by one Martine was working on. It is going to include photos from my few visits to the folk school past and present.

I am gearing up to go to John C. Campbell Folk School to teach sewing next week, but wanted to let you know about a new class I will be teaching for younger students. It is coming up at Communiversity. Vanessa Cook came up with a precious photo/ad for the class.
