Early Bird Summer Camps-Weeks May 21-25 and May 28-June 1st-Adventures in Art camps-half day 9am-12noon and full day options 9-5. Full day 150.00 per week for members and 160.00 per week for non-members. Half day 90. Per week for members and 100. Per week for non-members. Daily rates are 40.00 for full day and 25.00 for half day.
June/July Sessions:(Each class will be 100.00 for each week long session or 90.00 for members of the arts council.)
June 11-15-Great Masters in Art
We will study famous artists and explore working in their styles with various different media and techniques. Students will create works in the style of Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas and others during this one week class. Students who enjoy art will love learning the techniques of art masters from the past.

June 18-22-Mixed Media Extravaganza
We will work with various media to create collages, assemblages, artist trading cards, mail art, and artist journals. This class is geared to all who want to work in various mediums-watercolor, ink, acrylic paint, pencil, oil and chalk pastels, markers, etc. Imagination is the only requirement for this fun class.

June 25-29-Junk Art
We will explore working with all kinds of mediums while making travel collages, assemblages-which are little shadow boxes and sculptures. Students will learn how to use found objects and other recycled items to think out of the box and make creative discoveries. Creative energy recommended!

July 9-13-Painting 101
Students will get their brushes wet with acrylic, tempera, and watercolor paints to create many different types of masterpieces. Students will learn how to use brushes and other tools to manipulate different types of paint and learn the techniques suited for each different type. This painting class is suitable for beginners and children who already have experience painting.

July 23-27-Explorations in Art
We will cover clay, sculpture, painting, collage, pastels and other mediums in this fun class geared to having fun and letting the creative spirit soar. Students will come home with lots of projects in different styles. Explorative minds encouraged to enroll!

Preschool Art Camp-May 14-18th
This camp is geared towards 3-5 year olds who are out of preschool and want to do something fun for the week. We have half day and full day options. Full day options are 160.00 for 9am-5pm and half day options are 100.00 for 9am-noon. Children need to bring a lunch. We will work on exploring the basics of art including painting, printmaking, drawing and collage. Focus will be on having fun and getting used to working with art materials. Games and other activities will help round out the days.

Sewing 101 for Young Adults-ages 12-up
Students will learn how to follow a pattern and sew a few basic projects during the week. They will become familiar with their sewing machine, learn basic skills such as zippers, hems, buttonholes and seam construction as well as how to layout and cut fabric for basic projects. 1-4pm Monday-Friday June 4-8. Cost is $100.00 for class and students will need basic materials(list provided by instructor) and a sewing machine.
Fun with Felt-Handsewing Puppets and Creatures-ages 7-10
This beginning class for kids is oriented toward hand sewing-making hand puppets and felt creatures/dolls. Tues. and Wed. June 5 and 6 from 10-noon. $45.00
Basic Sewing-bring your sewing machine and learn what all those buttons and knobs are for. We will cover basic skills such as buttonholes, zippers, hems, and seam basics. Monday June 25th from 6-8:30pm. $45.00
Sewing Children’s Clothes-we will cover putting in sleeves, collars and basics on seam construction, finishing, etc. Students will need to bring their sewing machine and materials. List provided at registration. Must have basic sewing skills and be able to operate your sewing machine. Saturday July 14 and Saturday July 21st from 10am-12:30-$75.00 for two part class
Folk Art for Little Ones-July 18th-10am-noon ages 4-7. $25.00 for each child. We will do art in the style of southern folk artists, Mose Tolliver, Theora Hamblett and Clementine Hunter.
